Over 100 years since Naruto first entered the three tailed Kyuubi form, Many events have taken place. Every member of Akatsuki has died in some way, and most everyone else has died as well. Humanity still continues however, as the children continue their parent's legacy.
Upon the death of the final Akatsuki member, the statue of Akatsuki, containing in it each and every Biju, was lost for what many beleived, eternity. The statue, having been hidden in an unenterable cave, cannot be found by those who are not drawn to it.
Before their deathes, each Akatsuki member (Save the leader) had 1 single child, at least some time during their lives. Those children are now very old...But the grandchildren of the Akatsuki members are at young ages, and all seem drawn towards one place...The akatsuki statue. All having met each other, and having been breifed on what Akatsuki was, the grandchildren formed an organization, with the same goal as akatsuki. To take over the world using the Biju. The members of this large organization each don their family heirloom rings, passed down from their akatsuki forefathers. They have dubbed their organization "Neo-Akatsuki", and their first goal is to locate the Akatsuki statue, and control it's power.
((NEO-AKATSUKI HAS NOT YET BEEN FORMED. IT WILL BE FORMED WHEN ALL OF THE AKATSUKI HEIRS HAVE BEEN TAKEN.))
The ANBU, has split away from simply serving the Kage's of their respective villages, instead forming their own organization. ANBU now has a large headquarters, and they devote themselves to capturing missing-nins, as well as assisting the Kage's. Normal Nins can join the ANBU ranks, simply by passing an exam similar to the chuunin and Jounin exams.
